How can Wellness Together support my school community?

Wellness Together provides evidence-based interventions for your students facing social and emotional challenges impacting academic performance, attendance, and behavior at school. Partnering with your school or district to provide Mental Health Specialists delivering data-driven programs that support your Local Control and Accountability Plan goals. Improve your Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) by making these important Tier II and Tier III interventions available to all students.

 FAQs

  • Mental Health Specialists provide individual and/or group counseling and crisis intervention to students. These trained mental health professionals set goals with students and support them along the way, easing their emotional burdens so they can show up ready to learn.

    MHSs collaborate with school counselors, school psychologists, school social workers, site leaders, and other school staff to support the social and emotional wellness of your school community.

  • Any student who is enrolled in a participating school district may be referred. School-based mental health services are typically offered within Tier II or Tier III of your Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS).

    By eliminating the insurance paperwork, we streamline the path to meet immediate mental health needs.

  • Schools designate staff members to make student referrals. Typically, these individuals are members of a Student Support Team, school counselors, school psychologists, or administrators.

  • Sessions take place on school campus during the school day, either in person or online using our secure video conferencing platform.

  • Sessions are approximately 40 minutes in length and are offered weekly.

  • Local Educational Agencies utilize different funding sources to provide school-based mental health services to students and families.   • We are proud to offer

    HearYou.org: Online counseling for families, individuals, and educators/school staff. Partnering with school districts to provide confidential and accessible mental health counseling to school staff.

    Wellness Education Lab: A free online mental health training for students (13+), parents/guardians, and educators/school staff. This evidence-based engaging program is accessible to all school communities.

    Mind Out Loud: A youth-led mental health movement amplifying the student(13+) voice. An inclusive community for all students (13+) to learn mental health advocacy skills and connect with students across the country.

    Laughing Together: An innovative new program that expands mental health awareness through comedy shows and research-informed workshops. Providing student workshops and professional development for school staff and organizations.

  • Wellness Together’s Student Mental Wellness Conference is the largest gathering of school leaders, policymakers, and mental health providers around the world. Unifying and leading the global student mental health movement. Welcoming all school counselors, school social workers, educators, district leaders, and all student mental health champions to take part in this annual experience to get inspired, gain skills, and make connections.
