Dorothy Hilleary, MBA
Dorothy Hilleary is a Marriage and Family Therapist Trainee, will receive her M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy and Professional Clinical Counseling from Western Seminary in Fall 2019. Dorothy is passionate about helping children, adolescents, and adults find hope and healing, and thrive emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. Often life’s wounds and disappointments can keep us feeling stuck or emotionally crippled. Dorothy desires to see individuals live abundantly with deeper joy and purpose, and enjoy connected, fulfilling relationships.
Dorothy’s counseling experience includes working with children and adolescents as a mental health specialist in schools, and she has mentored women for more than 20 years in ministry settings. Dorothy has experience in treating depression, anxiety, relationship issues, grief and loss, parenting issues, life transitions, and vocational goals. Dorothy works from an integrative framework, embracing evidence-based approaches tailored to the individual’s needs. As a wife and mother, Dorothy also offers life experience and wisdom, and empathy and understanding in marriage and parenting issues.
Prior to entering the counseling field, Dorothy held marketing management positions with Silicon Valley-based software companies, She holds a B.S. in Journalism from the University of Kansas, and M.B.A. from Middlebury. For fun, she enjoys British TV, jogging, hiking, and outdoor concerts.
