Kelsey Takemoto, M.A.
Kelsey Takemoto is a Marriage and Family Therapist Intern (IMF #85555), and is registered with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS). Whether you are going through a stressful period in your life or simply want to take steps towards personal growth Kelsey's hope is to walk alongside you in that journey. One of her main goals as a counselor is to offer a safe, non-judgmental, environment to explore your deepest thoughts and feelings as well as offer unconditional support. She understands how difficult it can be to open up and share your struggles with another person. While taking that first step may feel scary she hopes it is a moment she and her client can celebrate together. Kelsey collaborates with her clients to develop therapeutic goals in order to discover what may work best. While her approach is rooted in Person-Centered and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy she often uses other tools to personalize the process for her clients. Kelsey works with individuals, adolescents, and families, and has experience addressing issues such as: anxiety, depression, self-esteem, family-related issues, self-harm, behavioral issues, major life transitions, grief, relationship issues, and personal growth. Kelsey is also certified in Applied Behavioral Analysis. Kelsey is also available to provide online Telehealth Therapy services to anyone who resides within California. Please contact her for more details.
